Laser operations of the prostate:

The constant development of modern medicine has enabled the treatment of urological problems through bloodless operative methods. Among these methods is laser surgery, with the help of which we can successfully treat enlarged prostate and stones in the kidneys and urinary tract.

Laser surgery is the most modern and gentle method of treating enlarged prostate and Vita Hospital has the latest generation laser for prostate treatment – the Cyber TM Thulium 150 Watt laser made by Quanta System  (the so-called “red laser).
Advantages:
  • Bloodless
  • Efficient
  • Minimal hospitalization
  • Minimal period of catheterization (1-2 days)
  • Preservation of sexual functionality

Breaking up stones in the kidneys and urinary tract through laser intervention:
Despite the proven effectiveness of extracorporeal lithotripsy for breaking stones in the kidneys and urinary tract, in some cases the use of modern endoscopic laser methods is required. Vita Hospital is the first to have the latest generation laser for such interventions – the Sphinx Jr. produced by the German company “Lisa Laser”.
Besides the breaking up of kidney and urinary tract stones, the Sphinx Jr. laser can also be used for percutaneous nephrolithotomy, bladder tumor operations and treatment of other urological diseases. The advantage of the Sphinx laser over other non-specialized lasers is that the penetration and the operation inside of the ureter is much more precise, thus preserving the tissues from damage to the fullest extent.
Advantages:
  • High success rate – the method is effective in almost 100% of cases, regardless of the composition of the stones.
  • Minimum risk of complications
  • Minimum hospital stay ( 1 day )
  • Suitable for patients with kidney, ureter and bladder stones of harder density
