The main subjective complaints and changes in mammary gland lesion are the pain, skin heat, incl. areola, congestion of a part of the whole mammary gland (without formation of “lump”), palpation of “lump” in mammary gland, mammilla secretion, changes of mammary gland skin.

Main subjective complaints and changes in mammary gland lesion

- pain – localized in total gland, unilateral or bilateral symmetric – non-specific symptom with different mechanism of arising. If it lasts more than 3 days, consultation with specialist is necessary.

- skin heat, inclusive areola too – frequent symptoms in inflammation, which may masque the malignant process too. If exists, consultation with a specialist is compulsory.

- congestion of a part of the total mammary gland (without formation of “lump”) – if not symmetric in both mammary glands and does not change depending on the body position, necessitating consultation with a specialist.

- palpation of “lump” in mammary gland – unconditionally necessitates consultation with a specialist

- secretion from mammilla – colourless, whitish, pale yellow, greenish, brownish, bloody – special attention at bloody secret – necessitates urgent consultation with a specialist.

- changes of mammary gland skin – pulling, ulceration – serious symptoms, necessitating urgent consultation with a specialist.
